The Story
In the artist's words
Four paths, thousands of miles apart, drawn together by a single hypnotic frequency.
Mazika Talata El-Sobh is a fusion of reunion and discovery: a journey across four worlds that culminates not in distance, but in arrival, where distinct lives slowly converge under the Cairo sky. A cinematic melodic deep house album with rich Middle Eastern influences, atmospheric textures, and a seamless cultural dialogue between East and West.
Told through the voices of four souls, the album traces a path originating from the sun-drenched coast of Antibes, the historic streets of Beirut, the neon-lit horizon of Tokyo, and the timeless pulse of Cairo. They navigate longings, late-night thoughts, and distant echoes across the sea. Through warm sunset synth pads, delicate microtonal nay flutes, and deep acoustic oud riffs, their stories intertwine. Each brings a unique cultural shade to a shared, hypnotic groove.
As the day unfolds, the music carries their journeys toward a single point. Golden hour over the Mediterranean, late-night reflections, and the quiet rhythm of the Nile slowly transform strangers into a shared pulse. They don't meet immediately; instead, the sound introduces them: one morning in Antibes, one walk through Beirut, one quiet afternoon in Tokyo, until the distance finally evaporates. Meeting at Megumi in the heart of Maadi, everything settles into a seamless 3 AM moment on a quiet Cairo rooftop.
Through the night, the album moves from intimate acoustic moments to euphoric organic house grooves, celebrating the joy of finding a shared frequency. The city dances with them, carrying them from sunset to sunrise, until the distance no longer feels vast, but like a path to belonging.
When morning returns to Cairo, nothing needs to be explained. The journey is complete. Together they discover that connection is not found in grand gestures, but in late-night reflections, shared rhythms, open skies, and the quiet certainty of 3 AM magic.
From warm felt textures and cinematic pads to deep melodic house, organic Middle Eastern grooves, and elegant late-night rooftop energy, Mazika Talata El-Sobh unfolds like one continuous journey through a global mosaic of memory and music.
A fusion of cultures (ميكس شرقي على غربي).
A journey that teaches us how to listen.
A story written one path at a time.
Ahlan wa Sahlan.
Stay awhile.

Guillaume
