The Story
In the artist's words
TOKYO is a journey through motion, memory, and the soft glow of city light - a story unfolding across sleepless train rides, rooftop sunsets, humid summer nights, and the quiet search for connection inside a city that never truly slows down.
Told through Japanese rap and drifting French vocals, the album moves between crowded crossings and intimate moments hidden beneath neon reflections. It begins with movement - glowing streets rushing past taxi windows, basslines pulsing beneath elevated train tracks, late-night conversations dissolving into warm electronic haze. The city feels endless, alive with rhythm, possibility, and the strange loneliness that exists even among millions of people.
As the nights unfold, the world becomes softer and more intimate. Breathy vocals float through open apartment windows while distant voices echo like memories between buildings. Convenience store lights flicker at midnight. Warm air moves through quiet side streets. Friends laugh through exhaustion, surviving on cheap meals, missed trains, and the fragile optimism of being young and barely holding life together.
Somewhere between the motion of the dancefloor and the silence before sunrise, emotions begin surfacing more clearly. Romantic tension drifts through layered harmonies and soft melodic rap verses. Bodies move slowly beneath pastel skies. The energy rises and falls like passing stations on an endless transit line - euphoric one moment, reflective the next.
Then comes the dawn.
The final stretch of the album opens into glowing sunrise textures, shimmering synth arpeggios, gentle four-on-the-floor rhythms, and floating refrains that feel suspended between dream and reality. Morning light spills across empty platforms and quiet balconies while the city slowly exhales beneath soft pink skies.
From warm jazz-soul chords and rubbery house basslines to atmospheric pads, melodic rap flows, glassy synth textures, and cinematic electronic grooves, TOKYO moves like one continuous summer night slowly dissolving into morning.
A fusion of languages. A soundtrack for motion and memory. A city glowing softly before sunrise.
Listen, stay awhile.
